Doyle Brunson is the “Babe Ruth of Poker,” a living legend who still plays in the highest limit poker games in the world. Along the way, winning more money at poker than any man who has ever lived, he won back-to-back world championships in 1976 and 1977 and a total of ten WSOP gold bracelets- no player has more. Doyle’s latest victories gave him the unique distinction of winning gold bracelets in four decades- the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 00’s – an accomplishment that may never be matched. In late August 2004, Doyle competed against and won against the largest field ever to play a World Poker Tour event, 667 players, making him the first player to win a WSOP and WPT title.
