Bill Robertie is a chess master and a former winner of the US Chess Speed Championships. He is also the world’s best backgammon player and the only two-time winner of the Monte Carlo World Championships for backgammon. Besides authoring six books on chess, all for Cardoza Publishing – Beginning Chess Play, Winning Chess Tactics, Winning Chess Openings, Master Checkmate Strategy, Basic Endgame Strategy: King’s, Pawns and Minor Pieces , and Basic Endgame Strategy: Queen’s and Rooks – he’s written six books on backgammon and is the co-publisher of Inside Backgammon, the world’s foremost backgammon magazine.
